We want to thank the entire city of Fairfield for your amazing outpouring of love and support. The mayor, City Council, city manager, the police and fire departments and the entire staff have done everything the way Matt would have wanted.
We also want to thank all the outlying cities and other states for their prayers, cards and support. Thank you to our government for acknowledging Matt as the wonderful man that he was. To our community we want you to know that we as a family and all of Matt's friends (you) are committed to following all the way through with everything that Matt was doing, planning to do, and also, what he was hoping to do.
Thanks to Mission Solano Executive Director Ron Marlette and staff for all you have done. Also, Bryan and Braker for their love and support. We want to thank Parkway Community Church, Liberty Christian Church for the beautiful services you did for our son, Matt.
I also want to thank Kaiser Permanente that has shown, once again, that it is a world class organization. I am so proud to work for Kaiser. Thank you to everyone who has committed to 'Keep Matt's Dream Alive' by making it a reality.
Our youth are our future and Matt understood that. We must continue to open up all avenues for our youth to succeed and live healthy lifestyles.
This has been the most devastating and the most tragic event in our lives. I can't wrap my head around any of this. I just have to know and believe that God has a plan. We have to do what Matt would want us to do. He loved Fairfield, and so do we.
Let's leave the criminal part to the experts. We must stand together in unity for our community. Once again, thank you and we love you all.
